Hi All,Do we have any valid guidelines on how big an arowana can grow over certain period of times ? such as..
3 months ~ 5"
6 months ~ 7"
12 months ~ 10"
18 months ~ XX"
24 months ~ XX"
This kind information would be very useful.
Sometimes we dont know for sure how old is the fish, even the cert date does not determine the exact date of birth of the fish.

Dun think can determine. Depends on how well your aro eat. My aro is 18" currently one year from tag date. Bought him at 5-6" eat like no tomorrow.

if you feed your arowana as much as it wants t eat, up to 45cm should be approx 1 to 1.25 inch per month, 1 inch minimum to 1.5 inch max per month.
this is my experience, i fed 3 times a day, as much as it can eat.
filtration needs to be strong. tank volume too so the aro can swim.
excercise for fish will enhance growth.
muscle builds up just like humans.
there are documented experiements with fish in tank with low and very high current, high currtent tanks with protein to match will always get bigger.
in saying that, you need to ensure your water quality is good too as if not, it will die or get sick or stop eating.
temperature is key, stable temps are important.
